So I was in the car the other day and Billionaire by Travie McCoy came on the radio. As I was listening to the catchy beat I started to notice the lyrics. This song hit me. It reminded me of so many people I know and what our culture tells us is most important in life. As I was thinking on the lyrics, “I wanna be a billionaire so fricking bad; Buy all of the things I never had; Uh, I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine; Smiling next to Oprah and the Queen” I started to think about what really make a difference in life. Does money, notoriety and fame really make someone happy? Would McCoy really be satisfied and feel his life was complete if he obtained these things?
