One of our friends wrote in with a question. He says:

“I'm a Corrections Officer, and alot of the inmates know I'm a Christian. They ask me questions about the Bible, and I try to answer them the best that I can. I don't have a problem talking to them about Jesus. Majority of the inmates on the yard are in for drugs, however there are inmates that are in for more vile crimes such as child molestation etc. Am I suppose to witness to them also? Can they be forgiven for these kinds of crimes? Thank You for your answer...God Bless You...”

None Escape!

So I’m surfing facebook tonight, which is a rarity these days, and I see that Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, has passed away. He was the man who pioneered so much of the technology we take for granted today, yet not even he could escape the reality of death. Seeing all of the comments, posts and articles about his death, reminds me that no one escapes that final life experience, not one of us.

The Lord has put some things on my heart lately. If I’m honest with myself, they’ve been on my heart for some time now, but fear and uncertainty have kept me in denial. Fear is a powerful opponent. That is why time and time again scripture tells us not to fear.
