Four More Years…of exile. But there is hope. Please read my thoughts on where we go from here. –Steve

I’m writing to you to explain why, even after a late and discouraging evening that stretched past 1am on the east coast, I was back at the office before 8am this morning.

And why the sinking feeling i felt last night has already been replaced with a deep determination.

And why I’m going out to buy equipment for our new office this afternoon.

And why we are going to build, build, build — despite a stunning and, for me, unexpected defeat.

Each of these leaves is dependent. None can survive by it’s self. They all need food that they cannot provide on their own. They all need the same thing, from the same place, but one branch cannot provide for them all. One branch is not responsible for all the leaves; it only worries about the leaves it can touch. The rest will be fed; their branches will feed them. Each branch will be fed by the trunk and roots. They do not have to worry where the food will come from because they are connected to the source. 

God created everything out of nothing (Genesis 1:1). He brought order out of chaos (Genesis 1:3-19). He brought light into darkness (Genesis 1:3-4). God is not a god of chaos and confusion, but rather the God of order, truth and clarity (1 Corinthians 14:33). Are you confused, dismayed, frustrated, surrounded by chaos? God can change this for you. He can bring clarity out of confusion, order out of chaos, peace out of frustration and hope out of dismay. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).
