Truth — A Class on Faith and Intellectual Honesty
Event Navigation

Most conversations about faith ask you to choose between believing and thinking. This one doesn’t.
Faith and intellectual honesty don’t have to be in conflict — but most faith conversations treat them like they are. Either you believe, or you ask hard questions. Either you trust, or you think. This class is built on the premise that that’s a false choice, and it starts with the question underneath all the others: is there such a thing as objective truth?
Does it matter whether truth is objective?
If truth is just personal preference, then Christianity is one flavor among many. There’s no reason to evangelize. No reason to claim Jesus is THE way — just a way. And the entire framework collapses — not because of atheism, but because of relativism.
Most people who wrestle with faith have never heard it framed that way. Most church conversations don’t go there.
This one does.
What we’ll cover
- Why relativism about truth actually hurts Christianity more than atheism does
- What the Bible says about truth — and why it’s more interesting than most people expect
- Why intellectual honesty is an act of faith, not a threat to it
- How to think clearly about truth claims without needing a philosophy degree
- Why “all religions are basically the same” doesn’t hold up under scrutiny
This class is for you if…
- You’d describe yourself as spiritually curious but skeptical
- You want to believe but feel like you can’t just make yourself do it
- You’ve been a Christian for years but have never engaged the intellectual side of your faith
- You’re tired of faith conversations that don’t let you be honest
- You’ve been told that asking hard questions means you don’t have enough faith
This class is intentionally more head than heart. If the emotional side is where you’re stuck — if you intellectually believe but still feel disconnected — that’s what 1-on-1 coaching is for.

About Kristen
Kristen Davis holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion and an MA in Christian Apologetics. She’s the founder of DoubtLess Faith and has spent years helping people work through the intellectual and emotional barriers that keep them from connecting with God. Her approach to faith and intellectual honesty is grounded in the conviction that real belief has to be able to survive real questions. She’s the kind of person you can ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask out loud.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any background in theology or philosophy?
No. This class is designed for people who are asking these questions for the first time, not people who already have answers. If you’re coming in curious and a little skeptical, you’re in exactly the right place.
Is this a church service or devotional?
No. This is a thinking class, not a worship experience. There’s no altar call, no pressure to reach a particular conclusion, and no assumption that you already believe. The goal is to think through the question honestly — wherever that takes you.
What if I’m not sure I believe in God?
You’re welcome here. This class doesn’t assume belief — it examines the foundations that make belief reasonable. If you’re genuinely uncertain and willing to think it through, that’s exactly the disposition this class is designed for. Faith and intellectual honesty go together better than most people have been taught.
