Permission to Question — A Class on Doubt and Faith

August 29 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM EDT
Questions about faith

God doesn’t just tolerate your doubt. He invites it.

Most of us have hidden a doubt from God at some point — or from our church, or from ourselves. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us learned that admitting we’re not sure means we don’t have enough faith. That’s not something Scripture teaches. It’s something church culture taught, and it gets quietly transferred onto God himself, as if he can’t handle an honest question.

This class starts from a different premise: God built the world in a way that invites the doubter to ask questions. Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith — it’s a response the design itself makes room for. That design reveals something about God’s actual posture toward your questions.

What we’ll cover

  • Why doubt is not weak faith, but an invitation to go deeper with God
  • The biblical case for questioning
  • The way God constructed the world invites the doubter to ask the questions
  • This design reveals God’s posture towards your questions
  • A reframe: doubt as data, not a defect — and what it might be pointing to

This class is for you if…

  • You’ve hidden a doubt from God, your church, or yourself
  • You’ve been told that asking hard questions means you don’t have enough faith
  • You want to believe but feel like you can’t just make yourself do it
  • You’ve been a Christian a long time but have never felt fully honest in your faith
  • You’re spiritually curious but wary of anything that feels like it wants easy answers from you

This class holds both head and heart — the way God’s design invites the question, and permission to actually feel what you feel about it. If you’re carrying something heavier than a single class can hold, that’s exactly what 1-on-1 coaching is for.

About Kristen

Kristen Davis holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion and an MA in Christian Apologetics. She’s the founder of DoubtLess Faith and has spent years helping people work through the intellectual and emotional barriers that keep them from connecting with God — including the shame so many carry around their own doubt. She’s the kind of person you can ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask out loud.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any background in theology or philosophy?

No. This class is for anyone who’s ever felt like they had to hide a question from God — background isn’t the point. If you’re coming in curious, or a little ashamed of what you’ve been wondering, you’re in exactly the right place.

Is this a church service or devotional?

No. There’s no altar call, no pressure to reach a particular conclusion, and no assumption that your doubt is a problem to fix by the end of the hour. The goal is permission — to actually look at your questions honestly, with God, instead of around him.

What if my doubt feels bigger than a single class can hold?

That’s common, and this class is meant to be a starting point, not the whole path. If what surfaces feels like it needs more space than an hour allows, 1-on-1 coaching is built for exactly that kind of deeper work.

What if I’m not ready to register yet?

No problem. If you’re still deciding, join the email list and I’ll send you a short overview of what we’ll cover. No pressure — just the information.
