THE HIS CADENCE SERIES
Not a routine to keep.
But, a voice to recognize.
What if your disconnection from God is not about your failure to keep a routine —
but about learning how to recognize the cadence of his voice and learning how to trust he is safe.
Kristen Davis, PhD | Philosopher of Religion · Apologist · Biblical Scholar
You’ve read the books. Done the Bible studies. Gone to the conferences. You’ve prayed, shown up, tried harder — and you still feel disconnected from God.
You’re not doing it wrong. And there’s nothing wrong with your faith.
The thing keeping you from feeling close to God probably isn’t an information gap. It’s usually two things: legitimate questions, and a trust wound that makes it hard to believe an answer even when you have one. Someone in your past broke trust in a way that never fully healed — and that wound quietly shapes how close you’ll let anyone get. Including God.
That’s not a character flaw. It’s a logical response to real pain. And it’s not something another book or Bible study can fix. It’s relational, and it needs a relational path through it.
Is this you?
You believe God is real — but you’ve never felt genuinely close to him, and you don’t know why.
You’ve done the Bible studies, read the books, gone to the conferences — and you still feel like something’s missing.
You’re not new to this. You’ve been trying for years, and the fact that it hasn’t clicked makes you wonder if the problem is you.
Somewhere along the way, someone broke your trust — and it quietly changed how close you let anyone get. Including God.
“It was one of the clearest teachings I’ve come across on the topic. She answers the questions people actually get stuck on, and makes a complex topic like this genuinely understandable.”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
— Daniel S., Class Attendee
“Kristen hosts excellent workshops, and I had the chance to attend the one on hearing the voice of God. It was one of the clearest teachings I’ve come across on the topic. She answers the questions people actually get stuck on, and makes a complex topic like this genuinely understandable. The section on conviction vs. condemnation is especially powerful, offering a clear and practical guide that even longtime believers will benefit from. If she ever teaches on this again, don’t miss it. Highly recommend.”
What His Cadence Is
His Cadence is an 8-session guided path — from permission to question all the way to a real, ongoing relationship with God. Not more spiritual disciplines added to your list. Not a lecture series. This is the actual process I walk people through one-on-one in coaching — doubt, evidence, discernment, naming the wound, healing with God — taught as a live class, session by session, once a month.
It’s built for the person who has tried everything and is ready to go to the root of what’s actually in the way.

Hi! I’m Kristen Davis and I’m a faith coach. I have a PhD in Philosophy of Religion, an MA in Christian Apologetics, and a BS in Biblical Studies because I needed to wrestle with my own questions to find the obstacles that kept me feeling distant from God. Now I help people who wrestle with disconnection from God too. I’ve spent years walking people through the exact process this series teaches — helping them get past the walls they didn’t even know they’d built, and into a real relationship with God. Not a theory. Not a theology lecture. The real thing.

Permission to Question — A Class on Doubt and Faith
God doesn’t just tolerate your doubt. He invites it. This session gives you permission to bring the questions you’ve been holding back — and shows you why asking them is the first real step, not a sign that something’s wrong with your faith.
What to Expect
- Format: Live on Zoom — 60 minutes per session, once a month
- Entry point: Sessions 1–6 all work as a first session; Sessions 7–8 go deeper for those who’ve been through more of the series
- Included: Class notes, reflection guide, and the full recording sent to all registrants
There’s no open-floor Q&A where you have to unmute or be on camera — but the chat is open throughout, and if good questions come through, I’ll address some at the end. You get to be honest without being seen.
Where the path goes from here
Each session stands on its own — Sessions 1–6 all work as entry points. You don’t need to start at the beginning or commit to the whole series.
Permission to Question — A Class on Doubt and Faith
God doesn’t just tolerate your doubt. He invites it. This session gives you permission to bring the questions you’ve been holding back — and shows you why asking them is the first real step, not a sign that something’s wrong with your faith.
The Historical Track Record — A Class on Evidence and Faith
You’ve been told faith means believing without evidence. That’s not what Scripture teaches — and it’s not how trust works anywhere else in life.
The Vetting Process — A Class on Evaluating Truth Claims
If you’ve ever believed something wholeheartedly and later found out it wasn’t true, you know how that changes you. This class gives you a framework so you’re never at the mercy of whoever sounds most confident.
What Does a Relationship with God Actually Mean — A Class on Knowing God Personally
If all you’re doing is reading His letters to other people and hanging out with His other friends — is that really a relationship?
Learning to Hear God’s Voice — A Class on Recognizing How God Speaks
Have you ever heard someone say ‘God told me…’ and quietly wondered why He never seems to speak to you?
Discernment — A Class on Telling God’s Voice from Your Own
Once you start listening for God, a new question shows up: how do you know it’s actually Him — and not just fear, old wounds, or wishful thinking?
Uncovering the Obstacles — A Class on What’s Really in the Way
Most people assume the thing keeping them from God is intellectual. For many, it’s a wound they’ve never named.”
Processing the Wounds with God — A Class on Healing What’s Been Broken
There’s a difference between knowing facts about God and actually bringing your pain to Him. Information alone doesn’t heal a wound.
What People Are Saying about Kristen
A few questions people ask before registering
Do I have to start at Session 1? No. Sessions 1–6 all work as a starting point. Sessions 7 and 8 go deeper and are better after you’ve been through some of the earlier ones, but there’s no wrong door in.
What if I’m not sure I’m a Christian anymore? That’s fine. This is built for people who are holding on loosely, people who are questioning, and people who have walked away but can’t fully let go. You don’t have to arrive with certainty.
Is this a Bible study? No. Bible studies give you information. This gives you a path through the thing that’s been blocking you — which is usually relational, not informational. There’s biblical content, but it’s in service of something deeper than knowledge.
How is this different from a conference or retreat? Conferences and retreats can be powerful — but the high fades. This is a sustained, structured path over months. Each session builds toward something, not just a one-time experience.
Do I have to share or talk on camera? No. There’s no open-floor Q&A and you never have to unmute. The chat is open for questions, and there’s private reflection built into every session. You can be fully engaged without being seen.
What does it cost? The suggested investment is $25 — adjust down if you need to, or up to pay it forward. Everyone deserves a seat here, regardless of what season they’re in financially. If this season has been good to you, investing above the suggested amount helps make sure someone in a harder season still gets a seat too. Every amount gets you the exact same experience.
